OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to support post-divestiture transition activities, with a focus on hardening infrastructure, managing security tool decommissioning, and ensuring the company retains a secure and compliant posture while scaling down operations. The role will also support vulnerability management, identity protection, and endpoint security validation in a reduced IT environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review and apply security configurations across firewalls, servers, and endpoint systems.
- Ensure critical services and assets are protected with appropriate access controls and updated policies.
- Identify and decommission unused or duplicate security tools inherited from the parent company.
- Assist in transitioning to leaner security tooling that suits the RemainCo footprint.
- Perform vulnerability scans and address critical findings with relevant teams.
- Tune existing threat detection rules and coordinate with internal/external SOCs for incident response.
- Review privileged access accounts, apply just-in-time (JIT) or least privilege access policies.
- Support MFA rollouts and review conditional access configurations post-divestiture.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security baselines, configurations, and tools removed or retained.
- Support compliance checks and audit readiness during and after the transition period.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience in divestiture, carve-out, or M&A security projects.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and security automation workflows.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, SC-200, AZ-500) are a plus.
